I just want to be known for the person that helped bring the media to the city, Jerry Coleman, who goes by DJ Jerry, said.DJ Jerry is an interviewer and DJ. His dad taught him how to DJ. When I was about 12, my pops, he was a DJ too, so I used to watch him all the time in our bas stanley cup ement, the living room. I used to be like I want to do this. Show me how to do this, and he showed me. He showed me everything I know far as the basics of DJing, he said.That led him to making beats and producing mixtapes full of local rappers. I was really inspired by DJ Drama, and I was just like I can do that. I can do that in Milwaukee, and no one in stanley tumbler Milwaukee is doing it like this, he said.The PodcastThen, he didnt know it at the time, in 2016 he filmed his first interview for the Mixtape Trappers Radio video podcast. It was one of the first of its kind in Milwaukee. WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. 鈥?If dedication to a passion distinguishes a champion from a crowd, Marlys Halbeisen just might be the one who stands out. Nothing would be any stanley travel mug thing without her, said Tamera Halbeisen, Marlys daughter-in-law. Theyre not just getting a card, theyre getting a message from us saying 鈥?We care about you, Marlys Halbeisen said.For the past three years, Marlys has transformed her Wheat Ridge home into a smaller version of Santas workshop for a cause near and dear to her heart. My stanley cup husband was in the military, Marlys said. He served in the Korean War. In 2018, she personalized 2,700 Christmas cards for troops overseas.Last year, she did 18,000. And this year 鈥?an astounding 40,000. The pandemic was good, Marlys said, laughing. I couldnt go anywhere, so I just worked on cards. KMGH first met Marlys last year, when the company she had lined up to ship the cards simply vanished.In the days that followed, KMGH viewers stepped up and donated so much money to the TV station s fund, that they not on stanley cups uk ly paid for the shipping last year, they were able to pay for the cards and shipping this year, as well. After visiting three stores, I bought 35,000 cards, Marlys said.She also received about 5,000 donated cards. Cards come every day, Marlys said. Yesterday, I got a bag of cards.
