The 2nd Highland Creek, 11th Bendale and 7th Pickering Scouting Groups will be undertaking their 35th annual food drive on Saturday, Dec. 2.The groups will go door to door to almost 3,000 homes in the Centennial neighbourhood, and collect food and cash donations for Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities Food Bank.Last year, the volun
stanley mug teers collected 6,270 pounds of food plus $433 in donations. This great result was used to restock the food bank, which is heavily used at this time of year. Over the past 13 years alone, almost 103,000 pounds of food has been collected - thats over 51 tons.
