U.S. consumer safety regulators say 8.2 million packages of popular laundry detergent brands considered to be defective 鈥?including Ace, Gain, Tide and Ariel 鈥?were recalled due to the possibility of a serious injury risk, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a release on Friday.In the massive product recall were brands like Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ariel Pods and Ace Pods, which are all liquid laundry detergent packets that are made of flexible film bags, the agency said.In the outer packing, there is what is described as a zipper track which is meant to prevent access to the product inside. KANSAS CITY, Mo. 鈥?Four major professional Kansas City sports franchises 鈥?the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, Current and Sporting KC, are joining together to support the victims affected by the tornado that caused destruction in Andover, Kansas, Friday.The teams are donating $80,000 to the Salvation Army, Andover YMCA and the United Way stanley thermos of Plains vaso stanley to support the organizations in their efforts to help those in Andover find food and shelter, according to a release from Sporting Kansas City.
