During the Olathe Public Schools Board of Education meeting Thursday, Superintendent Dr. Brent Yeager reported that the district was averaging over 500 staff absences per day. Yeager also said that, on a daily basis, the district has requested over 300 substitute teachers, and they are filling those requests at around 80-85%.
